A really good friend and I did hot yoga tonight. It was my first time. =) Although I felt drips of sweat rolling down my face/ neck, I didn't realize how wet I was until I took off my top afterwards. Seriously, it was soaked (and it was made of that anti-sweat thingy)!!!
Right now, I feel relaxed. I think there's more circulation to my face- my cheeks have more colour and I just look better (could it be psychological?...)... I'm also SUPER sleepy...
Anyone else try HOT YOGA before???
On saturday evening, I went to a friend's house for a BBQ (I didn't eat any BBQ'd meats though, since I had a sore throat then). I forgot to take photos... My friend GLo blogged about it here:
My mom was sick on Sunday so our out-of-town trip got cancelled. Instead, we stayed in town. We had fun watching "Bourne Ulti...Read more
Hey Fellow AnD-ers,
A friend of mine just started blogging on AnD. Please say HI to GLo and leave a comment on his page!
GLo and I go way back to junior high school and high school. He was one grade above me, so we didn't know each other then. It was through Mr AC100 that we crossed paths again (Both of them did computer engin...Read more
It's a good thing I didn't plan a vacation this long weekend. I'm sick (caught a cold)!!! =( Sometimes my voice is gone; at other times, it just sounds funny. I keep on sneezing and my nose is running... I've had plenty of fluids and vitaminC plus I slept in this morning (YAY, no work on Saturday!) so hopefully I'll feel better soon. I plan to be out-of-town tmr, then hang out with friends on Labour Day Monday.
I met the most adorable little 1-year-old at work this week. His parent...Read more
I was inspired by one of my patients today. He's an elderly man suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (A.L.S. aka Lou Gehrig's disease- more info can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amyotrophiclateralsclerosis). It's a neurodegenerative disease where your muscles gradually weaken and eventually stop functioning. Usually, it starts in the limbs first, and then spreads all throughout the body (trouble speaking, swall...Read more
This weekend was jam-packed for me. I went out with family/ my cousins on Friday evening. I worked on Saturday, then picked up Mr. AC100 from the airport (He came back from Hong Kong for 2 days to see me, then left tonight for Paris). I now have both my wedding photo albums (they're sooooooo heavy!) plus the framed photo and extra other stuff. We hung out with different group of friends, had lots to eat, shopped, took walks in the park, etc... Anyway, as some of you know, I may be relocating back to HK in the near future. I've struggled...Read more
Two of my cousins are visiting Toronto from Vancouver (One of them is actually an AnD member too! ;b). We cousins went out on Friday night.
Many people say that one of my cousins and I look alike. I'm 6 years older, so I think I'm like her older version (!!!) but people say we have the same face shape, smile, nose, etc... What do you guys think?
OK, so it's out. The new issue of the The Economist once again ranks VANCOUVER as the #1 most liveable city in the world!!!
Why am I so happy? Well, they ranked Toronto as the 5th most liveable city- so I can't complain! =) 2 of the top 5 most liveable cities are Canadian... YAY! Canada and Australia are popular places. =) They say that New York, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong, etc. aren't up there in the top 10 because of crazy traffic/ busy-ness... Here's the full story:
NOTE: I wrote this blog last night but internet was suddenly down. So I'm posting this up now. =)
As I drove to my clinic this morning, I realized that traffic was a LOT less (actually, traffic has been great since July). These last 2 weeks of summer vacation have people scrambling to go on last-minute (or previously planned) trips before the start of the school year. Where was I last year? I was in Toronto, working but looking forward to my first trip to Hawaii (which I'll blog about later!)... The summer before that one? I was ...Read more
It was quite chilly in Toronto today. 17 degrees and cloudy with drizzle (This is like late Sept/ Oct weather)... Much cooler than the typical August weather. But I shouldn't complain... It's supposed to be over 30 degrees tomorrow with humidity! And well, there aren't any hurricanes/ flooding/ crazy weather patterns (knock on wood ;b)...
Oh yeah, these are for you, Cloudz7! I know I said I'd post photos of my brother up- Here they are! Sorry, kinda forgot about 'em...
