繪者在此將傳統的中國水墨和標誌性的香港維多利亞海港兩岸景色共融。從太平山頂俯瞰維多利亞港，夕陽的餘暉照耀著隱約的兩岸，現代化的國際都市折射出璀璨的光華，三聯式構圖似宏偉的交響樂章，在扣動觀者心弦的同時，營造出一種光輝燦爛、前程似錦的恢宏意境。

 

蔡布谷具有扎實的中國畫學功底，同時亦善於融合中西美術技巧。她的作品墨色淋漓、色彩斑斕，意境深邃、大氣磅礡，富有濃厚的感染力，開創出別具香港特色的中國畫風格。蔡布谷畫作以其極為鮮明的個人風格獲多項殊榮，曾在多項重要畫展包括個人畫展中展出和獲獎，並獲多間著名機構和政要名人收藏。

 

作為香港藝術家，蔡布谷的繪畫創作卓然形成其獨樹一幟的藝術風格，其鮮明的風格和強烈的時代特徵，已成為香港水墨繪畫的時代偶像。

HONG KONG SYMPHONY  ink and colour on gold paper    2011

                     

Hong Kong Symphony is a modern Chinese painting by Ms Chai Bukuk (Kuku), in the requisition of Hong Kong International Airport.

 

The artist expressed the landmark of Hong Kong with her creative watercolour and ink style.  Set in a group of three, the paintings explore the prosperous Victoria Harbour in dusk.  Looking at the paintings, one can sense the dynamism of Hong Kong and feel the landscape coming to life. The painting is like a piece of magnificent symphony for this world famous international city.

 

Kuku received formal training in Chinese painting and is good in amalgamating the techniques of both the East and West. Combining vibrant colours, powerful ink strokes and profound meaning, the artist has created her own Hong Kong Chinese painting style.

 

Kuku’s works have been exhibited in many major arts exhibitions and obtained numerous awards.  Many of them are collected by officials, public and private organisations, as well as dignitaries.

 

An established Hong Kong artist, Kuku creates a new form of art and her works often strike a chord with the audience. The uniqueness of Kuku’s art is a cultural icon and a pride of Hong Kong.
