He comes to me at night
In the darkness and mist
Power flows from him
Like a knife in your gut
He looks at you
Then comes the twist
His eyes red
He shows no mercy
That is all in your head
He comes to me as a teacher
Showing me what is in the darkness
He slowly opens the locked doors
Shaking me right to the core
He shows me the power I wield
Showing me how to use it as my shield
He takes me in the night
Testing me and my might
Feeling the power almost like rage
My old ways melting away like a burnt page
He shows me new and wonderful things
I'm never scared, never afraid
He comforts me like a child
Always gentle and mild
Showing me the truth
Killing the lies
Slowly being pulled from the light
Covered by the shadows I grow in might
Soon I will be one with the night
The test will come
What I was will be done
New and powerful I will become
