    Hey guys,

I hope everyone is doing well!!!! Sorry I haven't been around much. It's been very hectic lately with Mandi and the kids still in Pennsylvania and I got to look at a few houses for rent last week and well, I've seen better...they kind of look trashed.

The last few weeks, I've been going on a binge...no, not an eating binge or a drinking binge...but a major MOVIE binge. Been renting and seeing a bunch of movies as of late to de-stress from all the chaos that had been happening. Here are the movies I've watched:

    Ip Man
    The Shinjuku Incident
    Ong Bak 2
    Blood and Bone
    Las Vegas Warrior
    American Streetfighter
    Full Impact
    Recoil
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li
    12 Rounds
The Inglorious Bastards (the 1978 Enzo Castellari flick)
    Fast and Furious
    The Way We Are
    Crank: High Voltage

Pretty insane list I would say....I've also been catching up on Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (Love that show :))

Well, last night, I was given a sigh of relief. It's been nearly three months since the fateful night where Mandi and the kids left for PA while I find a place for ourselves. I pretty much apologized for my going crazy that night (which triggered the incidents afterwards) and my dad gave me the okay that Mandi and the kids can come back while we look for a place. I really miss Mandi and the kids and I'm relieved that they are allowed back at my folks' house with me. Looks like I will be flying out to PA the weekend of Halloween with all of us coming back November 1. I can't wait :)

So how is everyone doing???? :)

  • 3 more days!!!

    Tuesday, Sep 1, 2009 11:01PM / Standard Entry

    Hey guys,
Hope everyone out there in AnD land is doing great. I'm still on the hunt for a place or even a relocation back to the Northeast. :) Meanwhile, 3 more days til I fly up to PA to see Mandi and the kids. I'm so very excited. :)

Last week was insane at work because classes began. That meant chaos in the library. Printing schedules for students, showing them where classrooms where, where reserve books were...let's just say at times, it was very draining when I would leave work at 8:30pm. While it was great working and leaving early, I'm back to my afternoon-evening shifts except Fridays, when I do come in early, due to the library closing at 2pm.

Last weekend, I treated myself to rentals from Redbox, which for those who don't know, is a video rental kiosk where you rent a movie for $1.00 a night. I got some good and some awful stuff. But Sunday, I really treated myself to a matinee showing of Quentin Tarantino's latest, Inglorious Basterds. In a nutshell, this is the filmmaker's vision on what people may wished would have happened in World War II and Nazi-occupied France. It was quite an insane 2 and a half hour movie.

My review of the film can be seen on my film review blog at http://albertvfilm.blogspot.com

I hope everyone is great out there....have a good one and keep in touch!!!!

  • What Really Ticks Me Off

    Sunday, Jul 19, 2009 1:06PM / Standard Entry

    Hey everyone,

Tonight's blog is a vent out so please bear with me. There is something that really has been ticking me off lately. It all started with a major incident that happened last Monday night. Well, a blowout occurred between my parents, myself and Amanda. I needed to cool off so I left the house and went for a walk. When I got back to the house, the police showed up. From what I have heard from both sides, blows were thrown...yes it got physical.

We pretty much got kicked out and I had a talk with my MIL, who is very understanding and can understand that 1) I wasn't there when the physicality happened and 2) I am constantly being forced to choose sides. Well, right now, I'm taking the steps necessary to find our own place. Tensions can only get so high after going back to your parents' house and having them try to control not only me (because I'm the youngest...which I totally feel is more of a burden than a blessing) as well as controlling the kids.

Needless to say, Amanda said she couldn't take it anymore. No, we're not getting divorced, but on Thursday, I'm taking Amanda and the kids to the airport. She is going to stay with her mom for a month, maybe a month and a half while I try to find us a place, hopefully sooner than later.

Now, here's what is ticking me off...when it comes to an incident like this, and please feel free to comment, but shouldn't people learn to shut their mouths and stop making themselves feel good by making the others feel like crap? For the record, Amanda did apologize for her actions that night, but she was right that EVERYONE that night was in the wrong. Of course, some people tend to not want to see that or maybe just needed to vent out which is understandable.

But, they know better than to tell anyone else, especially their own son who is married to the biggest Internet gossip since Perez Hilton. And no, I don't mean myself...this woman is married to my estranged brother began to post about the incident everywhere and quite frankly, she needs to shut the hell up. It is NONE of her business, and let's just put it this way...this is someone who just a few years ago told my father to go F*** himself. Yet, she wants to act like an angel....that's all it is...an act.

All I have to say is...gossips need to be careful of what they write or say...because karma will come back and give them a big bite in the ass in the end...Perez Hilton & will.i.am...need I say more????

I'm sorry if this sounds like an angry blog, but I just needed to vent out tonight. Everyone is already asleep and I dozed on the couch while waiting for my Mossa (Jessa) to sleep (she napped late).

Okay, on a brighter note, I did make Chinese food today and it was yummy. Made some Cashew Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, and Stir Fried-Beef.
