The above is my poor translation of the first paragraph of Han Han's excellent work 光荣日(The Glorious Day). Han was born in 1981, who is definitely the most prominent one among the "Post Eighties" writers of China. He wrote his first novel 三重门(The Three Doors) at the age of 16 when he was still a senior school student. Concerning the many weaknesses of the education system of modern China, this novel is well-known by many Chinese students and their parents, and Han Han became a household name (or a "phenomenon" as he said himeself)soon after it was published. His works are mostly novels and essays which are identified by his apparently personal and satirical style. Handsome, humorous, clever, not very talkative in public occasions, he is now crazily admired by many young girls ( as far as I know, Mumu, who is a very promising authoress, is now deeply attracted by him ^ _ ^) His blog has the most visitors among all China's celebrities', (blog.sina.com.cn/twocold) I myself like him and his articles very much.
