          This weekend feels like summer ...finally!!!
    Our annual Caribana Festival started this week and today is the crazy parade along our lakeshore.  We usually get over a million tourist coming in from all around the world but mostly from the US...Its basically party time for them! And get the hell outta the city time for torontonians LOL
           I've never been to the parade because most people who live in the city are afraid to get shot at the parade       It doesn't always happen but when you get a large group gathering around...somethings bound to happen?!  I've always wanted to attend the food part of the festivities though because I love Jerk Chicken




    The people who take part in the parade spend months designing and making their own costumes! 




     Our customers take this opportunity to get out of the city LOL  Well this monday is a holiday and they all go away to their cottages...*sigh* I hope I will have a cottage one day
      Oh and the garbage strike is over Yippppeee!!!

     I'm enjoying my first saturday off in a month...I'm goin for hi tea with my "lee hom friends" and then a birthday bbq after that .....

    Have fun with the Lee Hom Friends and bday bbq.  We also have long weekend here too, yipeee.  And I'm glad your garbage strike is over, the city don't need to smell bad no more :p

    This looks like one of those Brazilian Carnaval events. It's unfortunate that sometimes these things draw seedier people with other intentions beyond enjoying themselves....or maybe firing off their weapons makes them enjoy themselves. hah. The Cinco De Mayo festivities in San Jose was marred with gunfire but that happened late at night when the real CDM parade and festivity was over.... Now they have tons of cops at night which is probably a good thing.

    My city's got their Arts Festival this weekend. Gonna go check that out. It's usually not violent. I wonder if those Aryan Race white supremacists will be there...I think so.
